Under the current government eco scheme, homeowners residing in solid wall houses or properties with a cavity less than 25mm may be eligible for a free boiler and internal wall insulation upgrades under the eco4 scheme. The initiative is designed to enhance energy efficiency in residences, particularly in older homes with solid walls that often experience higher heat loss. Through the installation of internal wall insulation and a more efficient boiler, residents can not only reduce their energy consumption but also lower their heating costs and minimise their environmental impact.
